So… what’s the background on our grill shacks?

In 2001, our proprietor Gareth and his wife Virpi, who is from Finland, made the decision to introduce the classic Grillkota BBQ hut design to the United Kingdom. Scandinavian nations, like Finland's Lapland, have a rich cultural heritage that includes Grillkota BBQ cabins. These sturdy wooden shelters, which have a central BBQ, are scattered across towns, forests, and national parks and serve as warm havens during the chilly winter months. Many have stood for more than a hundred years. They are widely used by families, communities, and visitors alike, and are an integral aspect of Scandinavian culture.

After all, it's not always barbecue weather in the UK! Rain or shine, you may host guests and enjoy a BBQ with our grill shacks. Actually, our cabins shine brightest during the cooler months!
